Nurturing Creativity, Connection and Gentle Growth

Meet Your Adviser

Hi, I'm Ayesha

I'm an artist, creative educator, creative therapeutic art coach, arts project manager and a certified Arts Award adviser.

My own creative practice includes ceramics, drawing, painting and mixed media. I’m particularly interested in how art can help us explore ideas, identity, stories and the world around us.

Alongside my own creative practice, I manage and develop arts and heritage projects, working with artists, young people, communities and organisations to turn creative ideas into projects that can be shared with others.

This experience is an important part of what I bring to Arts Award. I don't just make art. I also develop ideas, plan projects, work with other people, solve problems, organise resources and bring creative projects to life.

As your Arts Award adviser, my role isn't to tell you what to make or what your art should look like.

I'll help you to develop your ideas, experiment, make creative decisions, reflect on your progress and find your own creative voice.

And when you reach the leadership part of Silver, you'll have the opportunity to draw on some of these real-world creative project skills yourself.

With nearly three decades of facilitation experience, every workshop provides a supportive space where curiosity leads. Children and young people build personal portfolios and earn nationally recognized Arts Awards across Discover, Explore, Bronze, and Silver levels.

Arts Award Journey guide children, families, and community groups through a journey of intuitive creative discovery.

Discover Arts Award is an introduction to the arts.

You'll explore different art forms, discover artists and creative experiences, and share what you've found.

It's a great starting point for young people who are beginning to explore their creativity.

Explore Arts Award gives you the chance to explore your own interests in more depth.

You'll discover artists and creative work, take part in arts activities, share your experiences and begin to think about what you enjoy and what inspires you.

Bronze Arts Award is about developing your own creative interests and taking a bigger step into the world of the arts.

You'll develop your own skills, discover artists and arts organisations, experience the work of others and share your own creative work.

It's a chance to start building a picture of who you are as a young artist.

Silver Arts Award challenges your creative practice.

You'll develop your own creative practice, explore the wider arts world, develop and lead a creative project, share your knowledge and build a portfolio that documents your journey.

You'll be making decisions about what you want to explore and how you want to develop.

The Arts Award

From Early Exploration to Recognized Qualifications

Different stages. Different challenges. One creative journey.

Where could your creative journey take you?

You might begin with Discover, move on to Explore, develop your skills through Bronze, and eventually take on the challenge of Silver.

Or you might join us at Silver because you're already ready for that next step.

Wherever you start, the aim is the same:
